Tour overview

Jozani Forest is a must-visit in Zanzibar, famous for its playful red colobus monkeys, which you have probably already seen in travel photos. On this 3-hour private tour, you see these rare monkeys up close in their only natural home, explore the forest and take memorable photos.

The forest, also known as Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, is Zanzibar's largest. Guests can start with the natural forest, where smaller trees and bushes form several sub-canopies beneath the highest canopy, and follow the nature trail, a habitat for many animal species. These parts are optional: many visitors come mainly for the red colobus monkeys and then return to their hotel or continue to another tour.
